DFATD/Edu-Canada is pleased to invite provincial and territorial governments, national associations and eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions to participate in the Canada Pavilion, and targeted meeting sessions followed by a reception on the margins of the Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition, March 17-20, in Seoul, Korea.

1. DFATD ROUNDTABLE & RECEPTION - Tentative program

14:00 - 15:15 Canada-Korea Student mobility: Opportunities and Challenges
The information session aims to provide key data and analysis on the higher education system in South Korea; issues impacting Korean education and student mobility; student movement trends, patterns and top destinations for study and research. This session will include two topics: Understanding student movements from Korea and Korea-Canada Pathways for increasing student mobility
15:30 - 17:00 Market intelligence from the ground: Opportunities for Canadian education providers in the ASEAN region, Australia and Korea
Updates and highlights on higher education in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Brunei, and Vietnam, Korea and Australia presented by Canada's Trade commissioners responsible for education in these markets. Get tips on how to leverage key recruitment and partnership opportunities. This is a great opportunity for Canadian education institutions to not only connect with DFATD's education officers and learn more about how they can support your objectives, but also provide them with key insights about your institutions' internationalization plans and strategies.

The Canada Reception will immediately follow the Roundtable and offers a great opportunity to connect with current and potential partners from Asia and around the world as well as provide a forum for informed discussion and networking.

2. CANADA PAVILION
Exhibition dates and times: March 18-20, 2014, 9:00 - 17:30
Adjacent to the Quebec Pavilion, the Canada pavilion will host Canadian institutions on a rotational basis. Participants are invited to spend time in the pavilion to promote their institutional programs and activities and meet with partners. A schedule will be circulated in February and participants will be able to select their preferred timeslots in advance. Pre-registration is necessary.
3. ONE-ON-ONE MEETINGS
The Embassy of Canada in Seoul is pleased to offer its support to institutions interested in holding one-on-one meetings with local contacts. We can help you identify contacts and coordinating some meetings to be held during your time in Seoul.
