China Education Expo (CEE) is the largest education fair in mainland China. It is approved by Ministry of Education (MOE) and sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). This annual event provides a platform to accredited foreign education institutions to have direct contact with Chinese students wanting to study abroad at all levels. There were 28,000 visitors to the fair with at least 5,000 visiting the Canadian pavilion. The Canada Pavilion was the largest national pavilion among 21 national pavilions with 92 institutions, service providers and government organization.

Participating in the Canada Pavilion can help institutions increase their credibility and competitiveness in the China market by giving them large-scale exposure. Past participants have consistently reported tangible recruitment results. To support Canadian institutions efforts, Trade Commissioners from the Embassy offer the following activities on the margins of the fair:

- A Market Briefing and a Study Permit information presentation with the participation of CIC representatives
- A business matchmaking event between Canadian institutions and local agents
- A post-secondary student recruitment fair at a local Canadian curriculum high school
- A Canadian high school promotion fair for Public K-12 participants featuring high net-worth individuals who have expressed an intention to send their children abroad to study.
