DFATD/Edu-Canada is pleased to invite provincial and territorial governments, national associations and eligible Canadian post-secondary institutions to participate in the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference in Prague, Czech Republic. This year, Edu-Canada will offer the following activities:


1) DFATD Program on the Margins of EAIE 2014

September 15th 2014, Prague, Czech Republic at the Corinthia Hotel

Le Canada en francais: Student Mobility and Cooperation for French language Studies and Student Exchanges - Limited spaces available:
Time: 8:00 - 9:30
Format: Breakfast meeting
Participant profile: Higher education institutions providing French educational programs or interested in cooperation with such institutions.
Target countries: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
Number of participants: 13 Canadian institutions/ 13 non-Canadian institutions, Embassy of Canada and DFATD representatives.

Canada-Central and Eastern Europe Roundtable on Higher Education Cooperation (focus on Czech Republic):
Time: 10:00 -13:00
Format: Roundtable meeting
Participant profile: Central and Eastern Europe, and particularly Czech Republic higher education institutions interested in collaborating with Canada.
Number of participants: 28 Canadian institutions/ 28 non-Canadian institutions, Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic, and Embassy of Canada and DFATD representatives.
Content: S&T, Research and development, student mobility, collaboration models and opportunities, education system overviews, open discussion.

One-on-One individual meetings:
Following the roundtable meeting, one-on-one meetings will enable direct contact and exchanges with major institutions in Central and Eastern Europe. A list and a description of participating institutions will be distributed in advance. An institutional profile will be requested following your registration.
Time: 14:00 -17:00
Format: Pre-scheduled individual meetings


2) Canada Pavilion at EAIE (September 17 to 19, 2014)

A large Canada Pavilion in the Exhibition Hall of the conference center where Canadian education representatives can promote their institutional programs and activities and meet with their international counterparts. The Canada Pavilion, which will be located adjacent to the Quebec pavilion, will host Canadian institutions on a rotational basis. A schedule will be circulated in August and participants will be able to select their preferred timeslots in advance. To attend the Canada Pavilion, registration is necessary.
