To assist Canadian education institutions wishing to recruit Chinese students, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at Canadian missions in China, with support from the Edu-Canada Division at Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD), is pleased to invite you to exhibit in the Canada Pavilion at the China International Education Exhibition Tour 2014 (CIEET) www.cieet.com from March 15 to 30, 2014.

Sponsored by the China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, the CIEET is a well-established event dedicated to international student recruitment. In 2014, for the first time, there will be an "Imagine Education in/au Canada" branded pavilion with an official welcome area staffed by Embassy personnel. In addition to an embassy briefing on education and visa issues for Canadian exhibitors, we will arrange Pre-CIEET Canada-only Mini Fairs in Beijing, Harbin (capital of Heilongjang province, population 11 million, site of a Concord College, a Canadian offshore school, as well as numerous high quality high schools with English programs) and Shenyang (capital of Liaoning province, population 8 million, site of a Nova Scotia offshore school and numerous high quality high schools with English programs) (TBC). A Select Canada Student Recruitment and Partnership Development Mission to Southwest China will also be organized on the margin of the CIEET stop in Chongqing. More information will follow shortly. Canadian exhibitors will also be featured in the Embassy's Chinese language Education in Canada iPhone app, which is promoted throughout China.

The CIEET is an excellent complement to the fall China Education Expo (CEE), where there has been a Canada Pavilion for the past 5 years. Its different timing and location on the opposite side of town will reach a different audience.

The TCS has secured a block of exhibition space for a branded Pavilion, and will organize a number of exclusive activities for the Canadian exhibitors at each of the locations.
